A Taste of Spring

Spring is one of my favorite times of year. The sun shines brighter, flowers are beginning to bloom, skirts, dresses and sandals become go-tos and the adventures of the upcoming summer season await. And best of all (well for me anyway) the beginning of spring also means my birthday is days away! Thought I would share my excitement of spring with a fun bright and colorful look. Peplum has been huge for the past couple of seasons and will continue to be. Lace shorts have been an obsession of mine since last summer and I'm very thrilled to be bringing them out more often especially these creme colored ones that make my legs look tanned to perfection. And who doesn't love a pop of color on a shoe?! I topped off this look with a recent flea market find. I absolutely love the colors in this necklace. They make styling it all the more fun. Sending you all lots of love today! Absolutely love the setting sun behind me as we shot this look on the iconic Colorado Street Bridge (aka Suicide Bridge) in Pasadena. Sunset is by far my favorite time to shoot. I hope you like the outcome as much as I do! Hope you have a wonderful day showering your loved ones with affection. Working late today, I'm sad I won't get to see my boyfriend till tomorrow but that's the beauty of it, Valentine's Day can be any and everyday!

Beauty is so much more than an exterior appearance. To achieve real beauty you must first love yourself and embrace your flaws. The very reasons I am taking part in Vedette Shapewear's "I've Got Nothing To Hide" campaign. Lingerie and undergarments can do wonders in boosting a woman's confidence but this campaign aims to go beyond that by promoting positive body image and helping women embrace all their imperfections and feel great about themselves regardless of their shape and size.

One of my favorite pieces was this Aimee bodysuit. It can easily be worn as outerwear and transitioned from day to night. I paired it with lace shorts, a green jacket and a fedora  for a casual day look and for the night I went with a high low mint green skirt, leopard booties and a leather jacket for an edgy look.

Grammys Red Carpet Fashion + Peek into Gift Lounge

I'm a sucker for red carpets I never miss an award show, sure for the marvelous talent being honored but mainly for the fashion. Just wanted to share my favorites from last night plus give you a peek into the official celebrity GRAMMY gifting lounge.

Kelly Rowland, fresh from an outstanding Superbowl performance, stunned in a black zig zag cut out gown by Georges Chakra. The sheer panels flaunted skin in just the right places. Sexy, yet tasteful, she exuded confidence.

Taylor Swift was angelic in a creme J. Mendel. The plunging neckline and slit make it sexy while the silver details polish off the look. She never strays too far from her comfort zone but always looks fantastic.

Rihanna was the epitome of romance in a floor length, red Alaia gown. I loved the crossed top and mesh detail, not to mention the sweeping skirt that graced the floor as she strutted down the red carpet.

I got a chance to visit the GRAMMY gift lounge to see the new D'Milikah swimwear line. The brazilian inspired designs were a standout at the lounge as many stars picked up their favorite suit.

All You Need is Love

Here's yet another Valentine's Day outfit idea. This time I went romantic, floral, long and flowing and added some leopard and a bright & bold red clutch. My love and I are yet to decide what our plans will be for the day. We rarely go all out for Valentine's Day as our anniversary is just a couple of weeks before and we put all our energy into celebrating that. But, seeing as it was our 5 year anniversary I think it warrants some extra celebrating.

Happy Monday!

Universally, I think we all are grateful when the weekend rolls around and rejoice in those days, but we should really be just as excited about Mondays. Take your Monday morning wake up alarm as a reminder to be grateful for the week before, the beginning of a brand new week, for your job, for school, your family and everything and everyone else that matters in your life. Start the week off on the right foot and the week is guaranteed to be fantastic! Here's is another Valentine's Day inspired look. Wearing all black with a light touch of pink, enough to make it exceptionally feminine paired with my go to black patent leather pumps. Simple and classy sums it up pretty well.
