Hello loves!

Hope you all enjoyed the holidays with your loved ones. Christmas Eve at home is always really intimate and cozy just my parents, my brother and I. Christmas Day is when we usually get together with other family members making it the perfect excuse to get all glammed up. I opted for a bright pink dress instead of the usual red and green Christmas hues and added my new Forever 21 necklace for a touch of sparkle. I absolutely love finding vintage looking pieces that instantly glam up everything you pair it with. This necklace is perfection! And these Sole Society booties have been my new favorite babies. I first purchased the boot in the leopard print seen in my previous post and was in love with how versatile they are and best of all comfortable! I had to scoop up the black pair when they went on sale, they are definitely my go-to black booties for the season!

Happy Holidays

Merry Christmas Eve my loves!

Hope you are all enjoying the holidays with your loved ones. I've been slacking with posting the past few days as I've been busy doing last minute shopping. Here's a look featuring a trifecta of my current favorites; military inspired jacket, girly lace dress and leopard booties, for a winning combination. I've been completely obsessing over these leopard booties. They are perfect for the season and are surprisingly very versatile, they look great paired with so many outfits, can't wait to show more! Sending you and your loved ones lots of love this holiday season. xo

Love,
Jess

(Forever 21 vest, pants & necklace, LV purse, Nordstrom boots, top from local boutique)

My favorite way to wear this bright top over the summer was with white lace shorts and some nude heeled sandals (here). But I love the bright hue of this top way to much to tuck it away in my closet until next summer, so I paired it with some skinny jeans, my new favorite pair of cognac boots and a chunky knitted vest for a crisp fall day. Comfort at its best.

Happy Styling!

The unpredictability of L.A. weather can be a bit frustrating at times. Just this week we had heavy rain followed by sunny days and now were back to gloomy days again. This is what I wore on one of the sunny days we got earlier this week. I took advantage of the weather and pulled out my go to pair of white shorts and strapped on my favorite pair of cobalt blue platforms (from Target for under $30!) for a pop of color for this otherwise neutral outfit. Hope you all had a great weekend!

Hello loves!

There's just something so effortless about a kimono, so breezy for a sunny day. I picked up this particular one on sale at H&M last year and it has been hanging in my closet ever since. I ripped off the tags, turned it inside out to show off the charming print (Why they decided to put the pretty design on the inside is beyond me) and paired it with my trusty black lace shorts and some killer booties I recently got from Just Fab. Hope you all have a great weekend!

(Forever 21 skirt, top, vest and necklace, H&M purse, Shoe Dazzle booties)

Hello loves!

Here is the look I wore this past Saturday for a lunch date with my honey. It was such a beautiful day, no sweater needed. I fell in love with the neutral hues of this maxi skirt I recently picked up from Forever 21, it's absolutely perfect for fall. It doesn't get too chilly here in L.A. so I know I can get a lot of use out of it on sunny days like these. If it gets a little chilly I can ditch the fringe vest and throw on a chunky sweater.

I found myself a pair of wings in downtown across the street from Urth Cafe, where my boyfriend and I were having lunch. Perfect photo op! I can't help but think of one of my favorite stories by Spanish writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez, when I see these wings. I first read A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings in my high school Spanish class and has since been one of my favorites. As a writer myself, it soothes my soul reading such poetic, whimsical, fairy tale like narratives such as this one. To me, wings represent limitless freedom and possibilities; the ingredients for living a truly magical life.

"What surprised him most, however, was the logic of his wings. They seemed so natural on that completely human organism that he couldn't understand why other men didn't have them too."
