As promised here is my basics looks. As a college student I don't always want to strut into class in an over the top ensemble, but I do always try to look my best and you can never go wrong with a basic look like this one. One of my tricks for days when I either woke up late or really have no idea what to wear I just go into my closet and pick out basic pieces, in this case a white blouse and skinny jeans, and throw on some accessories. Basics will pretty much go with any accessories you have belts, scarfs, necklaces you name it. So it makes it easy to get dressed in the morning and most importantly it is fun putting together a whole new outfit with the same basic pieces. I hope this gave you some ideas :)
I've always stayed away from maxi dresses simply because I'm a tiny thing and I felt like they would just make me look shorter. But, this dress stole my heart I had to have it. So what if I have to hold it up as I walk to avoid falling flat on my face. I love it.
It is now October and here in SoCal I can still get away with wearing shorts. I'm getting the last use of all my florals before the sun goes down. I hope you all had a great weekend! :)
This summer was by far the best summer of my life. Last semester really took a toll on me and when summer rolled around I could not be more excited to just enjoy myself without the stress of writing stories for the newspaper, conducting interviews, meeting deadlines, tests, papers, finals; I was sick of it. This summer I experienced so many new things and made so many memories that I wouldn't trade for the world. The most precious memory was my trip to Puerto Rico. Two of my girlfriends and I wanted to take a trip this summer but never got around to planning it beforehand, but somehow we booked the trip on the spur of the moment and a month later we were on a plane headed to "La Isla Del Encanto." We were there for an entire week and we truly enjoyed ourselves. We met many of the locals and they were so welcoming and kind hearted. I was astonished by the beautiful beaches and the overall different vibe of the place, it is so much different from the fast pace of L.A. I wanted to share a few of my outfits I wore on the trip as well as the beautiful scenery. I hope you enjoy!
